HONOR LAYOUT

I am up late we are having some wind and thunder rumble thru middle TN, I thought I would stay up late until these storms pass. We have had 2 big limbs fall in our back yard this week. I hope there are no limbs or trees that decide to fall tonight.
Well onto my layout, I decided to do a page on my husband re-enlistment when he was in the Army. This picture was taken in 1984 he was 21,he was not in his regular uniform, he was in a opposing force uniform (OPFOR). We were stationed out at Ft. Irwin, National Training Center. The companies stationed there would train other military bases, in warfare. My husband was a tank commander. In this layout he is re-enlisting in the Army in his OPFOR uniform, and I put the name of his company while he was stationed there.
I used My Creative Time Happy Homecoming stamp set, I also used My one and Only

I used my Gypsy to make sure the stamps I used would fit into the banner perfectly.

I always thought my husband was so handsome in his fatigue uniforms.
Well Thank You for stopping in and visiting for a little bit.
Have a wonderful rest of the week.

I used twine from the Twinery and ran it around the card.

Peachy Keen Challenge #52

Happy Sunday,
Hope you all had a good weekend, I'm sad to see it end. Last night I was able to come to my craft room and join in on the Peachy Keen challenge. It has been a while since I have done one I love doing there challenges when I have a chance too. Below is the challenge sketch
Below is my take on the challenge with Memorial Day coming up I thought I would make a patriot card. To remember what Memorial Day is really about. We are a Military family, my husband was in the Army and my son is currently serving in the Army as well. Below is my card for the Peachy Keen Challenge.
For my card I used my very dear friend My Creative Time stamp sets, I used
Happy Homecoming , My Little Firecracker, Fun Borders.
I used clear embossing powder for the border that reads "Red, White & Blue These Colors Dont Run!" The stamp set this stamp is from is My Little Firecracker. The stars on the bottom of the card as well were done in the clear embossing this stamp from Fun Borders. The stamped sentiment and bubble that it is stamped in from Happy Homecoming! The boots are cut from Stand and Deliver Cricut Cartridge.
I hope you like my card, I think it came out patriotic.
Lets remember the men and women who are currently serving our wonderful country, and Thank them for their service.

Thank You for visiting, have a wonderful day!

Its Your Special Day!

Hello,
I have been out of the loop for a couple of weeks. I had my mom, sister, neice and her baby visiting from out of town we were doing alot of catching up and shopping. They left yesterday its always so hard to say good bye to loved ones. My sister and I are close and it was hard to say goodbye.

I came downstairs to my scraproom and made a couple of cards. The card I made is a bithday card. I saw Emma from My Creative time use the Home Accents cartridge for the card. I thought that was unique card, I decided to use the same cartridge and same shape for my birthday card. I also used my Imagine for the ice cream image.

The stamped sentiments Wow So Many Candles http://www.creativetimeformeshoppe.blogspot.com/

Well I hope you like my card, Thanks for stopping in and visiting I appreciate you taking the time to visit.

“Thank You Emma – Surprise Birthday Hop”

Welcome to the Thank You Emma Suprise Blog Hop!
This blog hop is to wish Emma Happy Happy Happy Birthday!! I want to Thank her for allowing me to be part of her first design team I was truly honored that she had picked me. Also honored to know she liked my cards that I had made. I did not think my cards were as good as some of the other crafters out there. She is such a sweet and kind lady and I also feel I have gained a Wonderful Friend. I feel like we have a lot in common. I found Emma on My Pink Stamper and on Youtube. I would watch her videos on how she would use her Gypsy to make stuff. I would have to say I was a little intimidated on using my Gypsy. After watching her videos it really helped me.
Below is a card I made using
Emmas My Creative Time Stamp Fun Borders.
